Helping gyms improve safety standards

Dedicated to keeping gyms safe.

FitSafe Australia focuses on improving safety within gyms and fitness facilities.

We work with apartment gyms, hotel gyms, corporate fitness spaces, and private facilities to identify risks and implement practical solutions that actually work in real environments.

Our approach is hands-on and straightforward, focused on making facilities safer without overcomplicating the process.

Who We Are

FitSafe was founded by Selwyn, a long time health and fitness professional who has spent more than thirty years working across many areas of the industry.

Selwyn has spent over 30 years running gyms in Melbourne, seeing firsthand how safety is often overlooked or treated as an afterthought.

After years in the industry, it became clear there was a real gap. Facilities weren’t lacking effort, they were lacking clear, practical systems that actually worked day to day.

FitSafe Australia was built to fix that. A straightforward, experience-driven approach to helping gyms identify risks, put the right measures in place, and run safer, more accountable facilities without unnecessary complexity.

What We Do

FitSafe Australia works with gyms and fitness facilities to identify risks, improve safety systems, and bring structure to how safety is managed day to day.

We assess equipment, layout, and operational processes, then provide clear, practical recommendations that can actually be implemented without disrupting how the facility runs.

The focus is simple: reduce risk, improve accountability, and make safety something that’s consistently maintained, not something that gets revisited only when there’s a problem.
