About our audits
What does the FitSafe audit include?
A FitSafe audit includes an on-site inspection of the facility, a review of key safety systems and documentation, and a formal report outlining findings, risks, and recommended actions. The audit focuses on practical, real-world safety considerations specific to fitness environments.
What ares of the facility are typically reviewed?
Audits commonly cover the physical environment, equipment areas, emergency exits and signage, access and egress points, operational practices, and relevant safety documentation. The exact scope may vary depending on the facility type and operating model.
Are there things FitSafe does not cover as part of an audit?
FitSafe provides advisory safety audits and does not act as a certifying authority or replace legal advice. Where issues fall outside the audit scope, these are clearly noted in the report.
How can the audit report be used?
Reports can be used internally to guide improvements, support staff training, inform maintenance planning and demonstrate a proactive approach to safety.
